The Cambodian “Express”
Sometimes saving money just isn’t worth it in the long run. From Kuala Lumpur i flew Lufthansa back to Bangkok (1st class of course) and i decided why pay 200USD to fly from Bangkok to Siem Reap? Instead I’ll just take the 5:55am train from Bangkok to the Cambodian Border (PoiPet) for 25Cents and then take a tuk tuk for 3USD across the border and then a Taxi for 30USD to the city. Save some money, get to see the beautiful Thai countryside win win? I didn’t even think twice about how i would be traveling on the first day of Songkran (Thai New Year) and the fact that everyone would be leaving the big city by train to return to the small villages along the train route. The train normally takes 4-5hours to make it to the border, because the train was overcrowded it took almost 8 hours!

He he. Experience.
